Become a member of the FCE community.

When you work directly with students enrolled in FCE, you are not only sharing academic and life-planning skills, you’re serving as a role model. Your own experiences – college, career, books you’ve read, places you’ve lived – can open new horizons for students just starting to explore the world. Through your example, our students can see that a college education is indeed a viable option. Become a senior advisor, academic tutor, or mentor.

Tutoring means helping kids have what I had when I was growing up – instruction, direction, and support. Tutoring means making an impact and having fun at the same time.

Individual Tutor: Provide academic assistance in specific subject areas, while helping our students hone their basic skills, study habits, and self-confidence. Individual tutors work with an assigned student once or twice a week depending on the student’s and tutor’s schedules.

Commitment: 2-3 hours a week
