Janice Brody joined FCE in April 2009 as the Director of Development. She was also a co-founder, with Anna L. Waring, of the STEAM middle school program. Janice has extensive experience in fundraising, outreach, and communications activities, as well as a strong commitment to positive social change for youth from underserved communities. She was communications and major gifts director for Global Fund for Women and a founder and first board chair of the Girls’ Middle School. She continues to be actively involved at FCE as a senior advisor and as a member of the strategic thinking and executive director search committees. She writes and edits issue papers for Local Majority, an organization that provides critical research to Democratic state legislative candidates. Janice has a BA in English and French from New York University and a PhD in French Literature from Stanford University.
