- Your privacy is really important to us when using the Foundation for a College Education websites, services, or otherwise engage with the Foundation of College Education (collectively the “Service”). You are trusting us with your data, and we want to make sure it’s safe, secure, and handling in a responsible manner. In this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) Foundation for a College Education (“FCE”, ” us”, ” our”, and ” we”) commits to protecting your data and outlines what data we collect and how it is used. We reserve the right to update this Policy and will post any changes here. We comply with applicable data protection legislation, which includes but is not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 and any binding regulations promulgated thereunder, in each case, as may be amended from time to time. This includes but it is not limited to the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively “CCPA”). - Collection and use of information.
- We collect data about you directly from you and automatically through your use of our Service. We may combine data automatically collected with other data that we have collected about you including from publicly available sources. We encourage you to provide only that data that is necessary for using our Service.
- Data collected automatically. Like many websites, technologies to receive and store certain types of data when you interact with us through your device. Using these technologies helps us customize your experience with our Service and improve your experience.

- Categories of data. When using FCE, we collect information including but not limited to the following potentially personal data:
- Email: This is used as your account login, and we may occasionally send emails communicating to you. We will not share this with any third party that’s not necessary for the product to function (e.g. it would be shared with our authentication provider). We will not share your information or email to any third party that is not necessary.
- Entries and Conversations: when you put down thoughts or talk with coaches or otherwise input data into the Service – that is information that is ultimately stored and used in the Service.
- AI Artifacts: there are likely artifacts that are generated from your entries and conversations (e.g. summary, questions, themes); we treat artifacts such as summaries the same as your raw entries and conversations and treat with the same encryption method.
- Phone Number: If you optionally set up text message reminders or other phone functionality, your phone number will be stored. We will not share your phone number to any third party that is not necessary for the product to function.
- In addition to this information, we may collect information such as browser metadata and how often you log in, what features you use in the product etc. in order to help us understand high level analytics of how the product is used.
- Identification data: name/s and surname/s; address; social security number (SSN), financial, or banking data, if applicable (such us, billing information, in particular), and demographic data.
- Academic and professional data: training/qualifications, student records, education records, learning history, professional experience, membership of professional associations, among others, if applicable.
- Giving testimonials concerning to the provided services, which may be sent by the client to FCE, and we may then post to our sites.
- Clients’ records after the Services are rendered.
- Any other information you choose to submit to the Service.
- How we use your data. We may use data we collect about you to:
- We will use your data to provide our Service to you; we use the payment data you provide to us in order to alert you of, to allow us to present the billing history, and to perform internal financial processes.

- If you apply to a job position in FCE (including volunteer positions), when you send us your application to participate in a job application process.
- To post Your testimonials or any relevant experience with the aim to show the day-to-day activity of FCE.
- To detect, investigate and prevent activity, we think may be potentially illegal, unlawful or harmful and to enforce our Statement or any other purpose referenced herein or therein.
- We may use your data to comply with applicable legal obligations as well as to protect our rights and interests as well as the rights and interests of our users and any other person.
- Security of your data.
- We take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the data entrusted to us and treat it securely in accordance with this Statement. We implement safeguards designed to protect your data from accidental/unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, and unauthorized dissemination. We will retain your data as needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as needed to fulfil our business needs or legal requirements. In the event that a security issue arises, we will disclose any relevant information via email or our social media channels.
- We have implemented technical and organizational measures designed to protect the data and protect its security, availability, integrity and confidentiality.
- Data collection is limited to the purposes of processing (or the data that You choose to provide).
- Use of third-party services. The use of third-party services and software libraries is necessary to help power features of FCE. To enhance the services we offer and maintain the operation of our websites, we engage third-party service providers to assist with various functions. These providers help us with tasks such as website hosting, data analysis, payment processing, communication, and other related services. In the course of providing these services, third-party providers may have access to certain personal data necessary to perform their functions. Please note that while we take all reasonable measures to safeguard your data, these third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of these providers. If you do so, the agent must present signed written permission to act on your behalf and you may also be required to independently verify your identity and submit proof of your residency.
