Community Volunteer
Tait Wade is Director of Equity and Social Justice at Crystal Springs Uplands School. Tait has 14 years of teaching experience, primarily in the middle school Language Arts classroom; however, her passion and commitment has always been to working with first-generation college goers and other student populations that have been traditionally underrepresented in independent schools and higher education. In addition to teaching for several other college-access programs on the East Coast and in San Francisco, Tait served as Site Director for Peninsula Bridge from 2012-2016, where she helped to shape strategic program growth for the organization. One of Tait’s current initiatives is Crystal FIRST, a Crystal Springs program that supports aspiring first-generation college students and their families as they navigate the path to and through college. Tait is thrilled to have the opportunity to bring her teaching and program development experience to the FCE board at such an exciting time in the organization’s history. Tait holds a B.A. from Kenyon College and a M.Ed. in Equity and Social Justice in Education from San Francisco State University.
