Vice President of Performance Excellence, One Medical

Jose Gutierrez currently serves as the Vice President of Performance Excellence at One Medical, where he is responsible for a number of functions including Member (Patient) Experience, Process Improvement, Health System Partnership Operations, Strategic Partnerships, and Integrations. All the functions that Jose supports are designed to help create a better experience for One Medical members, spanning their experience with team members to their experiences when referred to a specialist. Jose is passionate about creating seamless experiences for members, removing the friction that stands between them and their ability to get the care they need.

Jose has spent his entire career in healthcare, spending time at UCLA Health, Stanford Health Care, and Michigan Medicine, in addition to time at UnitedHealth Group’s health services arm, Optum, where he supported its growth efforts in the care delivery (Optum Health) and revenue cycle (Optum360) space. Jose has an MBA and MHSA from the University of Michigan, and a BA from UCLA and resides in Pasadena, California. He visits the Bay Area frequently for work with One Medical, which is headquartered in San Francisco.
