Asra Hussain first started working with underrepresented students during her undergraduate years at UCLA. After graduating, she continued to work in education, serving the East and South Bay Area youth. In 2012, she obtained her master’s in counseling from Santa Clara University.
In her current role at Foundation for a College Education, Asra manages high school transition programming, working with grade 9 and grade 10 families. Understanding the significance of foundational skills, Asra’s work focuses on soft skill development and mental health awareness. Since 2018, she has secured funding for various programs to make higher education more attainable and accessible.
