Vice President for Student Success at Menlo College

Angela Schmiede is currently Vice President for Student Success at Menlo College where she provides leadership to the Office of Student Affairs; the Office of Internships, Career Services, and Study Abroad; Academic Advising; and Academic Support Services. She is Project Director of  a U.S. Department of Education Title III grant to support student achievement and retention and serves as Menlo’s WSCUC Accreditation Liaison Officer. She is an expert in experiential learning and is passionate about supporting student entrepreneurs as an advisor to the University Innovation Fellows program and Techstars Startup Weekend. She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Menlo Park, where she mentors Rotary Scholars and advises the Menlo College Rotaract Club. She is the 2019-2020 President-Elect for the club. Angela has a B.S. in Human Development from Vanderbilt University and an M.A. in Sociology and Ph.D. in Education from Stanford University.
